Affordable Housing Viability Agreement For Fareham Site

Affordable Housing Viability Agreement For Fareham Site

11 August 2023
Affordable Housing Viability Agreement For Fareham Site Goadsby has successfully negotiated a nil affordable housing quota for the proposed conversion and extension of 22 The Avenue, Fareham, to 16 flats. Council policy ordinarily requires on-site or financial contributions to affordable housing, provided it is viable to do so. However, in granting planning permission, Fareham Borough Council and their independent consultants advised that:

“… the Viability Report by Goadsby was accurate, and the development proposal was not capable of viably supporting any affordable housing provision.”

Instead, the scheme will provide much needed low cost open market housing.

The proposed block of flats was designed by Studio 4 Architects of Hampshire.
