Stamp Duty Stamped Out For First Time Buyers

Pride of place in Wednesday’s budget was the Chancellors reform of stamp duty for first time buyers (FTB’s) .

All purchases by FTB’s up to £300,000 will have NO stamp duty to pay.

This will delight first time buyers across the country and the change has already happened, as of midnight Tuesday 21st November.

The reform has generally been very well received, whilst not the complete answer to FTB’s getting on the housing ladder, it is undoubtedly a significant help.

Jim Doerr, Goadsby Residential Operations Director commented that this assistance will, he is sure be appreciated by the many hundred’s of first time buyers registered across the Goadsby network currently and actively searching for their first home.
