Levelling Up Bill Receives Royal Assent

30 October 2023
Levelling Up Bill Receives Royal Assent Today, the much-awaited Levelling-Up Bill has received Royal Assent. Heralded by the Government as being at the heart of its long-term plan to ensure that new development is built more beautifully, the new act contains a wide-ranging set of proposals, including:

• Building sufficient homes to meet the one million target for this parliamentary period.
• Revitalise high streets.
• Produce a faster and less bureaucratic planning system.

Time will tell as to whether the headline statements will turn into practical solutions to help solve the housing crisis and improve the environment of our town and city centres.
