Acting for a substantial locally based businessman, Goadsby have acquired the Devon Towers Hotel, one of the larger freehold opportunities in the town.

The departing Leisureplex Hotels, who also trade as Alfa Travel, had outgrown the building with the 2021 summer season being their last in Bournemouth, for the time being at least. Goadsby is now actively seeking an 80 bedroom unit for them on the central south coast.

Divisional director Ian Palmer who dealt with the transaction observed, “From the first approach this deal was 5 years in the making, but with steadfast persistence and ongoing contact with the owners we achieved the desired outcome for both parties in the end. Freehold hotels of this size are not widely available in the town and this particular one offers considerable potential to a new owner.”
