Goadsby has been jointly instructed with Carter Jonas to market a 41,940 sq ft office and industrial workspace in Poundbury near Dorchester. The unit is part of the Duchy of Cornwall’s estate. The premises are currently vacant after the former occupant expanded and relocated to larger workspace in Poole to accommodate further expansion.
The building contains 30,741 sq ft of industrial accommodation and 11,199 sq ft of offices with accompanying facilities, including a staff canteen, locker room and yard.
Alison Williams, Associate Partner of Carter Jonas said “The workspace is an unrivalled opportunity for a business to secure a large, flexible space in an imposing brick building with obvious aesthetic appeal.
The historic Duchy of Cornwall estate is a renowned brand in its own right and the new urban extension of Poundbury is one of the best examples of modern urban planning.
This means that the premise are located in a truly exception environment with a good selection of local amenities, but it is still well-connected to the national transport network. We anticipate strong demand from a range of different businesses given the unique nature of this asset.”
The workspace is located on Peverell Avenue East in Poundbury, Dorset close to local amenities such as Little Waitrose and Screw Fix.
Chris Wilson, Director, Goadsby concluded “It is highly unusual to be able to have a substantial modern, high bay HQ warehouse than can so comfortably sit alongside residential neighbours.
There are a number of fabulous design features including windows, doors, gates, pillars and a superb second floor meeting room.
Significant interest has already been received from a variety of business and investors and it hoped that an early transaction can be concluded.”
