49 Years On

Having been established for over 60 years, Goadsby Estate Agents have sold thousands of properties all over the south coast and some a number of times.

Being invited to appraise a house and being told that a vendor originally purchased it from the company always gives you a feeling of pride that your predecessor did a good job hence you being asked back. This was the case when I was lucky enough to be asked to this superb characterful detached house in Queens Park.

Having been occupied for 49 years since being purchased from Goadsby, the vendors had carefully kept the host of original features and the imposing chimneys that straddle the main door intact. It is always a delight to see the original features of an older property, as newer houses sometimes lack character.

Having taken instructions, and after conducting 20 viewings, 3 weeks later we secured some buyers who have gone on to become the new custodians of this wonderful home. Upon moving in the buyers have found our original sale particulars from 1969 which they were kind enough to pass onto us for our records.

Wishing them well in their new home and hoping that in 49 years’ time my successor may have the same privilege.
