My one and only experience with this unprofessional and amateurish branch…
We all know estates agents get a bad rep, but to be fair I’ve never really had a poor experience and have always wondered why this was… then in steps Goadsby Eastleigh.
My girlfriend and I put an application in for a lovely rental property in Horton Heath, with this being our first potential home together. A day later I receive a call from Charlie telling us that we’d been selected and that the property was ours. Charlie re-confirmed this with my girlfriend shortly after. We were over the moon so we called our families and told all our friends… we’d finally found our first home!
Then, a few hours later Charlie calls my girlfriend back to tell us they messed up… big time! Charlie called the wrong couple and told them they had the home (with that wrong couple being us)!
I understand that human error happens, but how do you mess something up that big?! I get it if it’s your first day on the job or something, but come on… you’re supposed to be a professional company who do this for a living. Where are your procedures and measures to stop stuff like this happening?
My girlfriend and I were left feeling embarrassed, absolutely gutted and completely drained from the whole experience.
You start a new chapter and new life when you move home… but to take that away from someone is not on. It’s more than a business here, it affects peoples lives. They need to take more ownership and care of their clients than they have done with us. I just hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else and that if there is another property we like, I hope it’s not managed by them.
