The property is located in Horton, on the edge of Cranborne Chase. The village is known for two historical buildings; Horton Tower and the Church of St Wolfrida. It is surrounded by open countryside and lies approx. 5.5 miles north of Wimborne Minster and has easy access links to surrounding towns such as Ringwood, Blandford and Salisbury.
