Gary started his property journey at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in the late 1980’s and he was exposed to a varied property portfolio which afforded him a wide experience base and the varied market conditions from boom to recession it became apparent to him that there is a necessity to keep abreast of the changes and be fiscally aware.

Having been involved in some large-scale projects such as the sale of the Council Housing stock and the compulsory purchase of land interests for the New Festival Place Shopping Centre Gary was approached by London Clancy to Head up their property Management team in the Basingstoke Office in 2003.

Gary was successful in growing the management department income base and provided advice to client’s and colleagues a like, helping to add value in terms of rental growth and managing the service charge budgets to ensure a cost-efficient maintenance regime was in place. Over the years Gary was also involved in significant refurbishment works on behalf of his clients. As part of his role, he would assist clients in resolving dispute scenarios with tenants and provide alternative routes to resolve these issues without the need for litigation.

Gary has acted for a wide variety of clients on all Property Management and Lease matters from individual private investors, pension funds, family trusts and limited companies, tailoring his advice and recommendations to their specific needs.

In 2020 London Clancy were acquired by Curchod & Co, shortly prior to this Gary had relocated to the Bournemouth area and when the opportunity arose to join Goadsby was presented it was an opportunity which provided a fresh challenge.
