Are Rents Increasing?

Two separate sets of figures this week have suggests that newly agreed rents are continuing to rise across the UK. The latest Landbay Rental Index claims that rents in the UK increased on average 0.69% year on year, but specifically 1.57% in the South West of the UK. They also suggest the average rental in the South West is £748 pcm.

Kate West, Divisional Lettings Director, reports, ‘This will offer great encouragement to those thinking about investing in buy to let property for the first time as well as existing landlords looking to keep or even expand their current portfolio’ Kate continues ‘Landlords, and the Private Rental Sector, have been hit with a number of new and updated legislations in the last number of years but data showing rental figures are still on the increase will offer encouragement to new and existing landlords’.

Should you wish to discuss investing in the buy to let market for the first time or expanding your current portfolio please call Kate to discuss in more detail; 01202 432188 or email kate.west@goadsby.com
