Repairs and Decoration to Listed Building

Decoration and maintenance work has been successfully completed at Granville Chambers, Richmond Hill, a prominent Grade II listed building in central Bournemouth, following Goadsby Building Consultancy’s appointment as Contract Administrator for these works.

Goadsby Building Consultancy was able to produce and tender a specification of work which allowed tenders to be easily compared and ensured tight cost control.  Goadsby Building Consultancy also undertook on-site inspections to validate that the works undertaken were good quality and matched the specification.  This approach enabled the project to be delivered below budget and to the client’s satisfaction.

Steve Willington was overseeing this project for Goadsby and comments, “When dealing with listed properties there are various challenges to carrying out works, and consideration of the unique building materials, details and finishes need to be made.  Goadsby Building Consultancy can ensure that both the exterior and interior fabric is protected and compliant with current legislation.”

Goadsby Building Consultancy work alongside Goadsby’s well established Property Management team to ensure that landlord’s properties are well maintained and continue to perform well for years to come.  For advice and assistance on property repair, maintenance and refurbishment works, please contact Steve Willington AssocRICS on (01202) 550 213.
