4 Star Hotel Sold

The Hotels & Leisure Division of Goadsby Commercial Estate Agents has reported the sale of the centrally located Blue Palms Hotel.

Occupying an elevated site adjacent to the Hilton Hotel and The Summit residential apartments development, the hotel comprises 10 en-suite letting bedrooms presented to a 4 star standard having also achieved a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.  Extended in the early 1990’s, Blue Palms also offers its guests the facility of covered car parking whilst a 2 bedroom apartment provides living accommodation for an owner.  A retirement sale, the outgoing owners operated the business for 13 years prior to which they ran the neighbouring Shady Nook guest house for 10 years.

Divisional Director of Goadsby Commercial, Ian Palmer, commented, “Blue Palms is an excellent example of a home and income B & B and very much what the typical Bournemouth purchaser is seeking.  It had been well maintained and refurbished to a particularly good standard which was reflected by a high level of repeat business.  This sale, however, only exacerbates the shortage of available properties such as this and Goadsby remains very much on the lookout for new instructions to meet demand”.

Blue Palms was freehold and sold off a quoting price of £699,500 which included goodwill, furnishings, fittings and equipment.
