Operations Director Jim Doerr was delighted to be invited to attend St James Church of England Primary Academy alongside AFC Bournemouth legend Steve Fletcher and rising talent Baily Cargill.

Goadsby support the AFC Bournemouth Community Trust and help fund the booklets the children receive when being taught about respectful and disrespectful behaviour in everyday life.

The lessons use a variety of resources including videos to illustrate behaviour. The children also complete worksheets highlighting how we can show respectful behaviours in certain environments. The children are encouraged into discussions and sharing their ideas and thoughts on good behaviours, whilst also inspiring them to demonstrate positive respectful behaviours within the classroom.

Jim, Steve and Baily thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and listening to the children’s ideas and observations whilst sat with them. To end the lesson, the Sports Trust asked the children to design a poster around respect and this will be entered into a competition for the chance to have their poster displayed in the concourse area at the Vitality Stadium.

Jim Doerr commented ‘We were delighted to be able to support such a good initiative, it is a great way to teach kids respectful behaviour and they were so excited to be meeting the AFC Bournemouth players, they had a fantastic time whilst also learning a great life skill’.
