Goadsby are delighted to announce that long term colleagues and friends James Dennett and Jim Doerr have jointly been promoted to Managing Directors of our Residential Division.
James Dennett (46) joined the company in 1989 as a 17 year old trainee at our then Boscombe office and was later joined by Jim Doerr (43) in 1992 as a 17 year old office junior.
Having formed a great friendship at Boscombe office they decided they wanted to see a bit of the world and packed their rucksacks for a year away in 1994, travelling through America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Thailand and India, before returning home and concentrating on their careers.
Both have managed and directed successful branches across our network over the past 25 years and whilst James has concentrated on the land and development side of the business Jim has been heavily involved in new homes and instrumental in building our procedures and IT processes.
‘Having worked their way up through the ranks and being at the forefront of training our current staff, both have a huge amount of influence over our ongoing culture and ethos as a company’ said David Errington CEO.
In a joint statement James and Jim said ‘ We have always worked well together and this joint role will enable us to continue to grow the business. It proves that loyalty, hard work and a commitment to succeed does pay off and we look forward to continuing to inspire and encourage our colleagues to achieve even more than we have as a company already’.
