A Landlord's Guide to Gas Safety

These regulations were introduced under the jurisdiction of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and are designed to provide standards for the installation and maintenance of all new gas pipe work and appliance installations together with conditions for maintenance. Furthermore, the regulations have obligations for persons involved with the letting of a property.
- Goadsby have implemented a system of annual checks and maintenance for all gas appliances and flues.
- Goadsby use only Gas Safe Registered Engineers for installations, maintenance and gas safety checks.
- Goadsby maintain safety check records, keeping copies for at least 2 years, and issue copies to each tenant within 28 days.
- Goadsby make sure that gas appliances have been checked and reported safe within the 12 month period before re-letting.
- Goadsby on re-letting, issue the new tenant/s with a copy of the safety check record.
